Tower of Fantasy Developer To Compensate Players Following Nemesis Banner Malfunction

Tower of Fantasy (TOF) players will soon receive some apologems due to a malfunction.

Video game developer A Perfect World Company (or simply Perfect World) has recently announced it will be providing TOF players with extra premium currency for free following a malfunction in one of its character banners.

TOF is an open-world action-adventure gacha game with mechanics similar to HoYoverse's Genshin Impact and Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Tower Of Fantasy Banner Malfunction Details

The operation team behind TOF mentioned on its official Twitter page that it had noticed an issue regarding the banner offering one of the most wanted characters in the game: Nemesis, a lightning-based support character.

PCGamesN mentioned in its article that players first noticed the malfunction during the "Rebirth of Clemency" event, when Nemesis' banner, named "Forgiveness and Rebirth" Limited Order, unexpectedly disappeared. Special Flame Gold tokens, which were the currency needed to roll on Nemesis' banner, were suddenly converted back to generic Black tokens, as well.

The disappearance of the banner along with the conversion of event-exclusive tokens to regular currency meant that the opportunity to get Nemesis through that banner had ended. However, Nemesis' banner was meant to last until Sept. 1, which is ten days from now.

The malfunction's timing couldn't have been more unfortunate. TOF was still gaining attention from the rest of the world as of press time, and its players, both new and veteran, were busy grinding for the currency they needed to obtain Nemesis.

However, the game's operation team eventually noticed the problem and promised that all players would receive 500 Dark Crystals as compensation after the issue was resolved.

In addition to 500 Dark Crystals, players whose Flame Gold and Overclocking chips have been converted back to the game's regular currency will receive an additional 300 Dark Crystals.

Although TOF's operations team promises players that the issue will be resolved in five working days, the issue has already been resolved, and the compensation is now available to receive, per the team's announcement. Additionally, any currency that was previously converted will be reverted but at its current value.

It isn't known if the banner will be extended due to the malfunction.

Getting Nemesis - Is She Worth The Grind?

Nemesis is a lightning-based support healer that uses EM Blasters for weapons. According to Game8, getting her is most recommended as her dodges activate her healing skill called "Twin Spinning Focus."

This skill allows the player to trigger a healing chain that heals themselves and nearby allies by 67.7% of the healer's attack.

Getting Nemesis for her Twin Spinning Focus alone is worth the effort of grinding for her.

Additionally, every dodge adds one stack that enhances the healing chain, increasing its healing effect by 25% for 30 seconds.

Genshin.gg reports that Nemesis is best teamed up with characters that can enhance her attacks, such as Samir and King, further increasing her healing chain.
