YouTube has become one of the go-to platforms for numerous users around the world when it comes to entertainment. Nowadays, the platform has become a behemoth of itself as it hosts different types of entertainment from artists, musicians, content creators, educators, and many more.

However, some videos are more viewed than others. This is definitely the case when it comes to YouTube's Billion Views Club.

Some videos on the platform include the most iconic piece of music video that we do not mind watching over and over again. Some have stood the test of time and made an impression on viewers worldwide.

Amazing would be an understatement to describe the accomplishment of reaching the 1 billion views milestone on YouTube. A great number of videos have amassed one billion views, which has allowed them to enter the Billion Views Club on YouTube.

There are now numerous videos on YouTube that have reached the Billion Views Club. Some of you might be familiar with some artists that have reached the club, names such as Black Pink, Rihanna, Dua Lipa, Alan Walker, Madonna, Adele, and many more.

With that, here is a list of our top five music videos that have reached one billion views.

'Despacito'

First on our list of the Billion Views Club is the music video for a song called "Despacito" by Luis Fonsi ft. Daddy Yankee.

The song was released on the platform on January 13, 2017. This music video is one of the fastest videos on YouTube to reach 1 billion views after just 97 days.

In addition to that, the song became so popular that even Justin Beiber released a version of himself singing it on April 17, 2017, which further boosted its popularity in different demographics of the audience. The music video now has 7.9 billion views.

'Shape of You'

"Shape of You" by Ed Sheeran. The singer and songwriter were also released in January 2017, the same month and year that "Despacito" was also released.

Ed Sheeran is no stranger to the popularity his songs receive since some of his music like "Dive," "Perfect," "Thinking Out Loud," and many more.

In addition, "Shape of You" reached its first billion views just after 97 days, which tied with Despacito's music video.

As of writing, the official "Shape of You" music video has now accumulated 5.7 billion views.

'See You Again'

The next YouTube video on our list for the Billion Views Club is the official music video of "See You Again" by Wiz Khalifa ft. Charlie Puth.

This one is famously known as the soundtrack of the movie "Furious 7." This one became an absolute hit, an upbeat song with emotional lyrics from the rapper and the melancholic singing of Charlie Puth.

The movie and the song both became significant as they were dedicated to their fellow actor, Paul Walker, who died in a car crash. The song was released on YouTube on April 7, 2015, and as of writing, it now has 5.6 billion views.

'GANGNAM STYLE'

Another music video joining the Billion Views Club is by the South Korean singer and music producer, Psy. Psy's "GANGNAM STYLE" music video became a huge hit on the streaming platform and all over the world.

Psy immediately took the world by storm on July 15, 2012, with people from all over the world racing to YouTube to witness the viral sensation. According to YouTube, in a period of less than six months, on December 21, 2012, the "Gangnam Style" music video became the very first music video on YouTube to reach one billion views.

This then led to the formation of YouTube's Billion Views Club (BVC), which inspired numerous artists and musicians to follow his lead. Today, the video has garnered 4.4 billion views.

'Baby'

Another music video that has reached the Billion Views Club is the debut song of Justin Beiber, "Baby." This song was released on February 19, 2010 and has since received 2.8 billion views.

Just a couple of years apart, Psy and Beiber released some songs that became some of the most popular on the platform. This has also led to Beiber establishing his career in the music industry as he continued to release great hits during his teenage years.

"Baby" has particularly received mixed reactions from the audience. Some could say it is one of the most hated songs or one that is most cringed over, while others have continued to love it until now.
