Google Pixel smartphones are getting their Android 13 patch, which fixes several annoying issues, such as the broken wireless charging and battery draining mess.
It is notably the first patch that Google is rolling out to Pixel phone users since bugs started to appear after the release of Android 13 in August.
And the September patch is looking to smash those pesky issues at long last.
Google Pixel's First Android 13 Patch
As per the latest news by The Verge, the search engine tech giant is pushing the first Android 13 patch for most Pixel devices.
The latest release should kill various issues that first saw the light of day when the new Google mobile operating system (OS) reached Pixel phones. In total, the patch addresses five bugs that have been ruining various iterations of the Android phone.
A recent tweet from the official Twitter account of Google says that the "September software update begins rolling out today to all supported Pixel devices running Android 13 and will continue over the next week."
The renowned tech giant further highlighted that the latest software update introduces refinements in "battery & charging" and "Bluetooth connectivity."
Google notes that it addresses critical bugs and improves the overall stability and performance of the smartphone.
Google Pixel 6a Update Delayed
However, the latest patch on the Pixel 6A is getting delayed and should be out before September ends.
Google points out that the newest Pixel phone update needs to address a fingerprint scanning bug. Thus, its users had to patiently wait for several more days.
Does it Fix Wireless Charging, Battery Drain Issues
According to a recent report by 9to5 Google, the latest patch fixes one of the most troublesome issues on Pixel phones, none other than the wireless charging issue.
Some users of Pixel phones, including the older releases, have complained that after the Android 13 update, they could no longer charge their phone wirelessly.
So if you are one of those who experienced it, the latest software update should have it out of the way. The Verge notes in its report that the software patch brings back the wireless charging function from the Pixel 4, 4XL to the newer Pixel 6, 6 Pro
On top of that, the first Android 13 update also addresses the battery drain issues, which Google blames on the launcher.
But it is to note that the bugs on Pixel phones are not limited to those two issues. Some users have also experienced that their Bluetooth is acting up. But the new software release fixes that too.
