Tesla's Theater mode gains a new handy feature in its internal testing, which changes the overall navigation for electric vehicle (EV) owners, making it much smoother than ever.
The new software update of the Elon Musk-owned EV maker, version 2022.28, improves the whole Theater mode experience in one go.
Tesla Theater Update Adds a New Handy Feature
As per the latest report by Electrek, the EVs of Tesla have this so-called Tesla Theater, which allows its folks inside the vehicle to stream their favorite content on various apps like Netflix and YouTube.
It is worth mentioning that the Theater mode only works while the vehicle is parked, preferably while topping up the battery of the all-electric car, which could take quite a while. That said, watching some YouTube videos is a great way to kill time while visiting the Supercharger.
But strange enough, the Theater mode in full-screen mode does not have any minimize option. Thus, it prevents Tesla owners from navigating other options on the center screen while watching. And as such, if you are looking to plan your route, you will have to stop whatever you are streaming.
However, the latest update of Tesla fixes it as it introduces new handy functionality that most folks have been looking forward to.
The Tesla Theater mode now gains a minimize option, the giant EV maker confirms in the release notes of its latest update.
How To Minimize Theater Mode Full Screen
The release notes disclose that the "full-screen Theater Mode can now be minimized, allowing access to vehicle controls without video playback interruption."
Besides confirming that Theater mode gains a new feature, the release notes also bared how the new functionality works, according to a recent story by Drive Tesla Canada.
It is pretty straightforward.
To do so, while in full-screen Theater Mode, you can now tap a minimize option on the upper left corner of the display.
Drive Tesla Canada reports that the Theater mode window would then minimize to the side of the display, allowing users to navigate other options in the center console.
If you are having a hard time looking for it, the new button sits right next to the close or "X" option, which allows you to exit the app completely.
Tesla Theater Mode
The renowned automaker introduced the Theater mode way back in September 2019 as it rolled out the V10 software update.
It currently allows users to stream countless content on Netflix and Youtube, as well as other streaming services like Disney+, HBO Max, and Twitch, to name a few.
