Google Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro Now Available for Pre-Order

After the Made by Google launch on October 6th, we learned more about Google's flagship Android phones, Google Pixel 7, and Pixel 7 Pro. They have announced that the release date will be on October 13th, but it can be pre-ordered now, as mentioned in AndroidPolice.

There are a lot of notable changes with the newly launched phones. We now have an idea of what these changes are, as opposed to relying on links and rumors across the internet.

Google Pixel 7

One of the changes in the camera is the camera bar changing from glass to metal. This could be due to the lens flare the photos are getting due to the light reflections from the glass rear camera bar.

The Pixel 7 has two cameras, both within the black pill cut out at the top of the phone. The rear camera is 50MP wide (f/1.85) and 12 MP ultrawide (f/2.2, 114 degrees Field of View) while the front camera has 10 MP, f/2.2, 98.8 degrees Field of View.

As for color, both phones will come in Obsidian and Snow, which is just black or white. The Pixel 7 will have a Lemongrass shade.

Its SoC is the Google Tensor G2, which is a processing unit said to be able to run machine learning tasks 60% faster and 20% more efficiently, according to gsmarena.com. It is used by the exclusive Google Pixel feature Photo Unblur.

It has a 6.3-inch FHD+ OLED, 90 Hz display. It also has a 25% higher peak brightness compared to the Pixel 6.

Its RAM is fixed at 8GB, but for storage, you can choose between 128GB and 256GB. The battery has 4,335mAh, which is down from its previous 4,614 mAh. Despite that, the phone has more efficient hardware.

This means that the Extreme Battery Saver mode can make the phone last for at least 48 to 72 hours. Without the battery-saver mode, you can still get up to 31 hours of regular use.

The Phone's dimensions are 155.6 x 73.2 b 8.7 mm, which makes it weigh 197 grams. It charges 30W with wired charging (USB Type-C), and 23W with wireless. The Phone is priced at $599.

Pixel 7 Pro

The Pixel 7 Pro sports the same SoC as the Google Pixel 7. The phone also has two cameras, both within the black pill cut-out at the top of the phone as well, but unlike the Google Pixel 7, it has a third camera outside the pill cut-out.

The rear is 50MP wide (f/1.85), 12 MP ultrawide (f/2.2, 125.8 degrees Field of View), and 48MP telephoto (f/3.5, 5x optical zoom). The selfie camera has 10.8MP, f/2.2, and 92.8 degrees Field of View. It can record 4K videos at 30-40 FPS now as well as 10-bit HDR video.

The battery is 5,000 mAh. As for storage, you may choose between 126GB, 256GB, and 512GB. The RAM is fixed at 12GB, but it is more than enough to make sure that your phone will run without lag.

It has a 6.7-inch QHD+ OLED, and a 120Hz display. The dimensions are 162.9 x 76.6 x 8.9 mm, making it weigh 212 grams. You can choose between Obsidian and Snow as well, the same as Google Pixel 7, but as for the third color, The Pixel 7 Pro has Hazel as the third color option instead of Lemongrass.

It has the same charging wattage as the Google Pixel 7. The Phone has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The phone is priced at $899.
