The Game Awards will soon reveal the games that are nominated to receive awards.
One of the most anticipated events in the gaming industry will soon return as an in-person event after years of live streaming, and it will also reveal the games that could be receiving awards for this year's event.
That doesn't mean that The Game Awards will be exclusively in-person. The event will also be live-streamed for free on more than 40 digital video platforms worldwide, per the event's official announcement.
2022 Game Awards Nominee Revelation Details
The Game Awards announced it would reveal the games that were nominated to receive an award during the upcoming event on Nov. 14 at 9 AM PT, through The Game Awards' official YouTube, Twitch, and Twitter channels, per Game Press.
It also mentioned that gamers could help choose the winners in all categories from the nominated games on its official website after the reveal.
Interested voters can rest assured that the online voting hosted on the event's official website is authenticated. However, if the official website is unavailable or cannot be reached, gamers can also choose to vote for the games they think should win an award using the official The Game Awards Voting Bot on Discord.

This year's game awards will be the first time a voting bot on Discord will be used to count and monitor votes from gamers.
Other Additions To The 2022 Game Awards
In addition to using a voting bot on Discord, The Games Awards have also added a new category called "Best Adaptation," which recognizes creative work that "authentically adapts video game intellectual property to other popular media."
These media include but are not limited to theatrical movies, streaming shows, podcasts, novels, and comic books.
You may remember that many video games, such as The Witcher, The Last of Us, Uncharted, Sonic, and Resident Evil, were adapted into movies, streaming shows, and novels in recent years.
Geoff Keighley, the creator and executive producer of The Game Awards, said that the new category is a way for the gaming industry and its fans to recognize the creative work that went into "authentically" adapting favorite gaming franchises.
He also added that these adaptations often add lore and context to the original game and that now is the right time to honor them with an award.
The Game Awards 2022 Schedule
The 2022 Game Awards is scheduled to go live in person on Dec. 8 from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
Attendees should expect many big names in the gaming industry and popular culture to celebrate the best games of 2022, such as The Game Awards Orchestra, conducted by Lorne Balfe.
Gamers who can't make it to the Microsoft Theater in time could also watch the event online; The Game Awards will be live-streamed for free across more than 40 different digital video platforms worldwide, including YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Facebook, and even TikTok Live.
