tTwitter's ongoing collapse worsens by the minute.
Bystanders walking past the microblogging company's headquarters found that someone was projecting a string of rather colorful insults aimed at Elon Musk following its employees' mass exodus.
Hundreds of Twitter employees were spotted to be leaving the company's headquarters and offices after disagreeing with Musk's "extremely hardcore" work setup.
Insults To Elon Musk Details
People outside Twitter's headquarters in San Francisco suddenly saw a projected message addressed to the Big Twit himself, Elon Musk, after many of Twitter's employees left, willingly or otherwise, after they disagreed with Musk's work setup.
Twitter user @christoq uploaded a video showing the message projected across Twitter's headquarters, with it containing a slew of choice words and colorful insults against Musk.
These insults include supreme parasite, lawless oligarch, megalomaniac, bankruptcy baby, and even "dictator's asskisser" and "space Karen."
There are also other versions of the projected message spreading across Twitter, with it saying "proof Elon an idiot," "launching to bankruptcy," "#1 in hate speech," and "Musk kisses Putin's ass," complete with an arrow pointing at Twitter's signage.
Apparently, these projected messages came from projection activist Alan Marling, who goes by the Twitter handle @Æ Marling.
Twitter user @JanPaul123 posted a video of what seems to be Marling describing his work on Twitter's headquarters in an interview. Although it is unknown why Marling decided to project his messages as of press time, he had perfect timing on the matter: his projections went up on Twitter's headquarters right after Musk's "hardcore" deadline.
According to the AV Club, the headquarters was shuttered when Marling projected his message to Musk.
Although it isn't clear how many employees left Twitter on Nov. 17, Fortune and Bloomberg report that up to 75% of Twitter's remaining employees went for the exits.
An article from The Washington Post mentioned that one former Twitter employee said that there is no longer "a skeleton crew manning the system," and that the website will continue to run as it is until it runs into something and eventually stops. This former Twitter employee's words seemed to ring with truth.
DownDetector reported that 65% of the reports it received for this day were about server connections, while 35% of them were problems with the app.
#RIPTwitter
Despite the outages, #RIPTwitter is still trending as the no. 1 hashtag of the day, with it achieving 745,700 tweets as of press time according to Twitter Trends.
Many Twitter users also post memes about the impending doom that seems to await Twitter, with some joking that only a single employee remained.
Interestingly, Elon Musk also joined in the fun; he posted a meme with Twitter's logo on a gravestone on his official Twitter account.
Meanwhile, a report from The Verge mentioned that the remaining and departing employees said that the platform could possibly "start breaking up soon" considering the number of resignations Twitter received this week.
A staffer also revealed that no matter how "hardcore" Musk wants to have his remaining Twitter employees work, it will be extremely difficult for the microblogging platform to recover in its current state.
Many employees from Twitter's teams that are critical to the platform's operations have also resigned, further solidifying the possible doom of Twitter.
