James Bond fans can now get fan service from the agent's newly-favored wristwatch brand.
Omega has recently managed to recreate James Bond's iconic entrance at the start of every Bond film with a wristwatch that oozes the MI6 agent's signature flair over the years.
The watch references the Omega watches worn by Bond in his many films since 1995's "Goldeneye," according to Gizmodo.
Omega 42mm Seamaster Diver 300M Details
Omega revealed in its announcement that its new 42mm Seamaster Diver 300M wristwatch contains callbacks to the watches Bond wears in every film he has been in since "Goldeneye" in celebration of 60 years of 007 on screen.
According to the wristwatch manufacturer, its Seamaster Diver watch has a contrasting blue dial with skeleton-plated hour/minute hands and a lollipop seconds hand in white varnished aluminum.
The wristwatch's hands, as well as its vertical lines, glow in the dark. The vertical lines and the minute hand glow green, while the hour and lollipop seconds glow blue, in line with the rhodium-plated hour markers.
When flipped over, it plays out the famous and iconic opening scene where James Bond's silhouette turns and shoots the camera bordered by a spinning gun barrel on its caseback. Omega said that it linked the "moiré" effect animation to the wristwatch's lollipop seconds hands, keeping it in perpetual motion.
The opening scene's addition to the wristwatch, though impressive, is not the only fan service Omega added to its Seamaster Diver for James Bond fans to enjoy. The manufacturer also added a blue oxalic anodized aluminum dial with laser-engraved waves that were inspired by the watch Bond wears in "Goldeneye."
Meanwhile, the Seamaster Diver's mesh bracelet adds texture while referencing the same bracelet style Bond uses for the watch he used in "No Time To Die."
Omega also replaced the traditional inverted triangle seen on almost all Dovel 300M models with a commemorative "60" in reference to Bond's 60th anniversary on the big screen.
This commemorative "60" also glows green when in dark places.
Every aspect of the watch is powered up by Omega's Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806, allowing it to resist magnetic fields with forces up to 15,000 gausses.
The chronometer also has 55 hours of reserved power, runs at a frequency of 3.5Hz, and has self-winding capabilities.
Last but not least is the wooden box that the watch comes in with. It is also Bond-inspired, with it painted blue in the original Diver 300M pattern and three dots inspired by the classic Bond movie opening sequence.
The box also comes with a secret push button to its right, to open it.
42mm Seamaster Diver 300M Details Price
Although the 42mm Seamaster Diver 300M maybe every 007 fan's must-have watch, its features, and quality puts its price up to quite the level.
Omega is selling the wristwatch to people who want it for $7,600, which is significantly cheaper than the Canopus Gold Edition - the other commemorative wristwatch the company made for Bond's 60th anniversary.
The Canopus Gold Edition, which costs $140,000, comes with many of the much cheaper wristwatch's features. It has the opening scene at its caseback and the mesh bracelet. However, its bezel is made of green and yellow diamonds that pay tribute to the flag of Jamaica.
This color scheme references the private estate Bond writer and creator Ian Fleming built there.
