Nintendo just shared a new trailer for the "Super Mario Bros." movie, and although it's only 30 seconds, it shows us additional footage for the movie. More importantly, it gave us a glimpse of Mario in his catsuit and Donkey Kong laughing at him.
What's in the Trailer
The additional clip is also from a scene that has already been featured in a previous trailer, which was released by Nintendo back in November. However, the recent clip will let us hear how Donkey Kong sounds for the first time.
As we know, Seth Rogen will be the voice of the iconic antagonist gorilla. In the short trailer, Rogen's Donkey Kong laughs at Mario as soon as he sees him in his fluffy yellow catsuit and says "You got the cat box! I'm sorry." followed by "Now you die."
You'll also see Princess Peach, who will be voiced by Anya Taylor-Joy, and Toad who will be played by Keegan-Michael Key, in the audience reacting as Mario was easily caught and beaten by the big bad Donkey Kong.
As for the other characters, Mario will be voiced by Chris Pratt, Luigi will be played by Charlie Day, and Jack Black will voice Bowser. The trailer also shows that the movie will be on the big screen on April 7th, as mentioned in Engadget.

The first teaser trailer published by illumination shows the arrival of Bowser, presented as the king of the Koopas. He attacks a kingdom of cute little penguins to acquire the Super Star, which we all know makes you invincible.
It will then show Mario being tossed into a field of red-white-spotted mushrooms, and as he tries to touch the unique blue one, Toad surprises him. Mario then ventures to the Mushroom Kingdom with Toad by his side.
In the trailer released by GameSpot, Mario appears to emerge into an arena where he will battle it out with Donkey Kong. It's the first appearance of the redesigned version of DK, which Nintendo did according to Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto.
It gives us a glimpse of Luigi being interrogated by Bowser into giving up information about Mario. The trailer also shows more scenes of Princess Peach along with dialogue as she speaks to the mushrooms about Bowser's arrival.
If you played Super Mario growing up, then you'll recognize certain elements within the trailer that will make you reminisce about the old days. You'll see the game's green pipes and moving platforms, as well as his cart.
The animation for the movie already speaks for itself, and it's not surprising for people go into the theaters with high expectations. Nintendo's partnership with Illumination so far appears to be the right choice, as pointed out by Movie Web.
If you're unfamiliar with the animation company, perhaps you'll know a couple of titles they're responsible for. Some of their known work includes the animated films in the "Despicable Me" and "Minions" franchise, as well as Dr. Seuss's "The Grinch."
