Street Fighter 6 Latest Character Addition Details

Street Fighter series mainstays Cammy and Zangief are coming back to the game along with a brand new addition to the series' roster, Lily.

According to Games Press, the addition of these three characters completes the game's 18-person character roster, with Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Guile, E. Honda, Blanka, Dhalsim, Juri, Dee Jay, and Luke returning to the series to make their appearance once again alongside Cammy and Zangief. Meanwhile, the game adds five previously announced new characters to the roster, which are Jamie, Kimberly, Manon, Marisa, and JP - the characters Lily will join.

Speaking of Lily, some players who are knowledgeable of the series' lore would find her familiar since she is a descendant of the Thunderfoot tribe - the tribe to Street Fighter II's T. Hawk belongs. She channels "the spirits of nature" to defeat enemies with her aptly-named nature-themed moves such as Condor Dive, Condor Spire, and Tomahawk buster.

Lily can gain access to enhanced versions of the previously mentioned moves through a move dubbed Condor Wind, which grants her one Windclad stock that powers up the previously mentioned moves.

As for her Super Arts, she wields war clubs to barrage her opponents within her Level 1 Super Art Breaazing Hawk, while she slams her enemies to the ground with her Level 3 Supert Art Raging typhoon.

Let's talk about the two returning characters next. Cammy still features many of her high-powered attacks her fans are familiar with, like Spiral Arrow, Cannon Spike, and Hooligan Combination, per PlayStation Blog.

However, she now has access to enhanced "Heavy" versions of each move that allow for a delay that results in the moves' altered properties, increasing their damage if it connects.

Meanwhile, Zangief still has his trademark throws like Screw Piledriver and Siberian Express, which are mainstays for his moveset. However, he also gains one new move during his time teaching called the Tundra Storm, which counters an opponent's grounded kick with a damaging throw.

Fan Reaction To Capcom's Reveal

Street fight fans are unanimously excited about Cammy and Zangief's return to the series, with fighting game mainstay Justin Wong pointing out that Cammy's moveset references the 1994 "Street Fighter" animated movie, among others.

Many Street Fighter fans noticed Cammy's new outfit and hairstyle, which is normally braided into long twin-tails. Now, she sports a jacket and a single, long braid for her style.

Many people are also noticing Lily's connection to T. Hawk and the Thunderfoor tribe, as evidenced by many of the comments on Capcom's official Twitter account.
