Jill Valentine, of the most beloved Resident Evil characters of all time, will be part of the upcoming CG-animated film "Resident Evil: Death Island." This marks the first of the franchise's CG-animated films that she's part of.
Due for release this summer, "Resident Evil: Death Island" will also feature two other fan favorites. They are none other than Jill's S.T.A.R.S. (short for Special Tactics and Rescue Service) teammate, Chris Redfield, and Leon Scott Kennedy. As of press time, no exact release date has been given for the upcoming film.

Jill Valentine Joins 'Resident Evil: Death Island'
Jill Valentine's addition to the upcoming CG-animated film was announced during the Capcom Showcase, according to a report by GameSpot. A trailer was released during the said showcase and it can be seen that Jill is sporting the same look from the remake of Resident Evil 3.

'Resident Evil: Death Island'
"Resident Evil: Death Island" is the latest addition to the famed horror video game franchise's roster of CG-animated films. As previously mentioned, there is no exact release date for the movie as of press time. However, the Capcom Showcase confirmed a Summer 2023 release window.
Per GameSpot, the story of "Resident Evil: Death Island" takes place after the events of Resident Evil 6 but before the events of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Resident Evil characters Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield are set to be the main characters of the CG-animated film.

D.S.O. agent Leon S. Kennedy is on a mission to rescue Dr. Antonio Taylor from kidnappers, when a mysterious woman thwarts his pursuit. Meanwhile, B.S.A.A. agent Chris Redfield is investigating a zombie outbreak in San Francisco, where the cause of the infection cannot be identified. The only thing the victims have in common is that they all visited Alcatraz Island recently. Following that clue, Chris and his team head to the island, where a new horror awaits them.
'Resident Evil' CG-Animated Films
"Resident Evil: Death Island" marks the second time both Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield star in a CG-animated film of the franchise. They first co-starred in "Resident Evil: Vendetta," which was released 2017 and marked the return of another Resident Evil character, Rebecca Chambers.
As of press time, only Leon Kennedy has starred in every "Resident Evil" CG-animated film ever released. The first movie, "Resident Evil: Degeneration," was released in 2008 and also featured Chris's sister, Claire Redfield. The second film, "Resident Evil: Damnation," was released in 2012 and also featured Ada Wong.
