Opera mentioned in its latest blog post that its free, built-in VPN for iOS users would undergo a full rollout in the next few weeks, allegedly making it the first web browser to offer VPNs to users across all platforms.

The company explained that VPNs became an essential feature of life online due to them keeping users' identity secure and their activity private, allowing them to safely browse the web and keeping their personal information safe from potential threat actors.

Opera iOS users wouldn't have to worry about the company looking into their activity instead of threat actors as Opera's VPN is a no-log service like Surfshark and NordVPN, meaning that the VPN doesn't record users' activities for the company to see.

The company also stated that the free, built-in VPN it added to its iOS version doesn't need a subscription, login, or additional extensions to make it work. All Opera iOS users must do is " hit a switch in the main menu to browse in peace."

The free, built-in VPN Opera offers was still in early access, but as previously mentioned, it will roll out in a few weeks. Those who'd like to check if they already have it may do so, but if their Opera iOS app doesn't have it, then they may want to wait a few more days before checking again.

9to5Mac mentioned that users could find the VPN on their Opera for iOS by tapping the hamburger icon (triple line) in the bottom right corner of Opera for iOS and then choosing Settings. the switch for the app's free, built-in VPN should appear at the top of the menu.

Other New Features For Opera For iOS

Aside from the free, built-in VPN Opera now gives its iOS users, the company is also releasing a Bookmarks feature that allows users to "organize [their] lives online." When this new feature is used in tandem with Opera's Speed Dial feature, users will get immediate access to crucial information, per Apple Insider.

Another feature Opera is releasing is a new Live Scores feature; it appears on the browser's homepage and displays the day's matches, whether they're upcoming, in progress, or during the last few moments of the game.

The Opera web browser allegedly offers "unparalleled speed and security" and is available to download for free on all platforms, including the PC, iOS devices, and Android devices.
