Blizzard Entertainment has heard its players' cries.
The popular video game developer recently mentioned that Diablo 4 would have a proper endgame; it wouldn't be an endless video game for players anymore.
Blizzard has Diablo 4 set for release on June 6 for the PC, PlayStations 4 and 5, the Xbox One, and the Xbox Series X|S.
Diablo 4 Endgame Details
Diablo 3 players are familiar with its endgame content, which involves going through various repeatable activities that make it playable forever or for as long as its servers hold. According to Screen Rant, these activities include bounties, also known as a player's dailies, Nephalem Rifts that lets players slay all manner of monstrosities for loot, and seasons, which have players use a level 1 character with no equipment to obtain pets, cosmetics, and armor sets.
Despite the rewards these activities provide, Diablo 3 players have grown tired of the grind since it isn't good endgame content - it can last forever, and sometimes the loot just isn't worth the effort anymore when their characters are too overpowered to go up against anything.
Blizzard heard players' complaints about Diablo 3's endgame content, and it seems they did listen to them. According to Joe Piepiora in his interview with GamesRadar, Diablo 4 "is not intended to be played forever," and players will get to enjoy the content that lets them push themselves and see how far they can take their build instead of "trying to reach some endless grind of rewards as time goes on beyond level 10."

Piepora said that players with characters at level 100 could face a pinnacle boss encounter that provides players with an "extraordinarily challenging" fight, giving them an ultimate goal to end their playthrough on a satisfying high note. He also mentioned that the game expects players to have mastered everything that is to know about their character, like their class, build, and have maximized everything they could possibly think about before facing its de facto final boss.
