Meta Threads recently launched its beta program for Android users. A Meta engineer described the program, as "for Android users who love to live on the cutting edge."
People who sign up for Google Play Beta will experience new features and bug fixes earlier than other users.
However, the engineer also warns that users should accept "an increased risk of a more unstable build since its earlier."
Threads Is the Trend
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg shared on Threads that 70 million sign-ups have been made on the app.
According to Data.ai's analysis, Threads is now the most downloaded non-game app in history.
Seventy-five percent of the downloads were from Android, while the remaining twenty-five were from iOS users.
Threads now rank second as the most downloaded app overall on iOS and Android, after Mario Kart Tour.

Threads Future Features
Instagram head Adam Mosseri confirms that Threads will soon have a chronological feed option, similar to Instagram and Facebook.
Threads has also received complaints against its deactivation process which includes deleting both Instagram and Threads.
Mosseri assured that the team is also "looking into" separating the mutual deactivation process between Threads and Instagram.
