According to reports, Microsoft is gearing up to publicly roll out the Windows 11 23H2 (Moment 4) after its recent appearance in the July 2023 cumulative update for the operating system.
Several references were is suggested to be part of the Windows 11 23H2 inside the July 2023 Patch Tuesday update.
Windows Latest found that the company is working its the enablement packaged named as "Microsoft-Windows-23H2Enablement-Package."
July 2023 Patch Tuesday Inclusions
The patch contains "Microsoft-Windows-UpdateTargeting-ClientOS-SV2Moment4-EKB" which bears similarity in the Windows 10 build 19045, with only a tiny enablement package needed to try the new features.
These hints further confirmed that Microsoft is already prepping the 22H2-version PCs for the upcoming update.
Since the new version requires only an enablement package, users are expected to update their Windows easily since the update is already laid out with just one click.
Windows 11 23H2 Possible Features
Microsoft reportedly added a thumbnail preview at the Start menu's recommended file section. This will allow any file to be viewed similar to File Explorer's thumbnail and detail pane.
Additionally, a new header, more Mica, Fluent Design, upgraded search, and more will be revealed soon. Others such as task bar ungrouping, native support for RAR and 7-Zip, and Windows Copilot introduction will also be included.
Microsoft is currently testing the fall 2023 update through its Dev and Beta channel of its Insider Program. Although Microsoft have confirmed the Windows 11 23H2 release, no further details has been said.
