X has officially renamed TweetDeck to XPro, as part of rebranding Twitter.
Although its profile remains inactive for the lack of posts in X, TweetDeck now uses the handle @Pro. In the meantime, the URL remains the same as tweetdeck.twitter.com, a similar case to twitter.com. However, it might follow the case of x.com/profile in the following weeks to come.
The Birth of XPro
Last July 28, X owner, Elon Musk confirmed that TweetDeck's name will be changed to XPro and will come with "psy op plugins."
Musk did not expound what these "psy op plugins" will be but users can expect additional features that will extend the current functionality of TweetDeck.
Currently, the XPro branding is only visible to the top part of the website. Other functions and design remains the same from TweetDeck. More changes might be implemented gradually on the following days.
X Rebranding Timeline
Musk has been planning to rebrand Twitter for a long time. Finally, the time has come and several changes have been rolling out for the past weeks.
Firstly, Musk officially renamed Twitter into X, changing the apps name and logo across platforms. Apple also granted X to use a one-character username in the app, something that most users are not allowed to do.
Second, Twitter sign in the building was taken down and was replaced by the blinding X sign, which gained complaints. Changes in TweetDeck only sparks more future changes in the company.
