Password Sharing on Disney Services

Disney did not provide any data as to how many were currently tracked sharing a password across Disney's services but confirmed that it is significant and enough for the company to take actions such as a crackdown. Iger is confident that the company has the "technical capacity" to monitor each sign-ins.

Early this year, streaming giant Netflix has globally launched its password-sharing crackdown. Each subscribers must be connected into similar household for it to be considered an official sign in. On the other hand, Netflix is now charging an extra fee for any accounts shared outside the household.

There is still no clear details as to how Disney will implement this upcoming sharing policies. Would it be similar to what Netflix did? Nobody knows for now, but one thing is for sure, it is bound to happen soon.
