HoYoverse has finally revealed Lynette's abilities and talents
The popular game developer released Lynette's character teaser trailer and a detailed description of her talents and abilities in time for Genshin Impact's 4.0 update.
Lynette is accompanying her brother, Lyney, in the first phase limited-time banner of Genshin Impact's 4.0 update as the featured four-star character in Lyney and Yelan's banner.
Genshin Impact Lyney Character Details
Lynette is one of the three Fontaine siblings prominently featured in Genshin Impact's Fontaine teasers. She is Lyney's sibling and his taciturn and reserved magic assistant who possesses a cat's ears and "inscrutable emotions."
Similar to Mondstadt's Jean and Inazuma's Kaedehara Kazuha, Lynette is an Anemo sword wielder who deals physical damage with her weapon and Anemo damage with her abilities
Her normal attack comes with four rapid hits, while her charged attack consumes a small amount of stamina to unleash two rapid sword strikes.
Lynette's elemental skill, Enigmatic Feint, involves a flick of her mantle that deals Anemo damage and restores her HP based on her max HP. Players should expect to lose the HP they gain from Lynette's elemental skill though - she will lose a certain amount of HP per second afterward.
Lynette's Enigmatic Feint skill behaves differently if players tap or hold the elemental skill button. A tap makes her elemental skill behave as previously explained.
Holding the elemental skill button causes Lynette to enter a high-speed Pilfering Shadow state and apply Shadowsign to a nearby opponent. When her Pilfering Shadow state ends, Lynette will unleash her Enigma Thrust.
Interestingly, Lynette will automatically blink at a nearby opponent with Shadowsign applied to them once her Pilfering Shadow state ends. When she does, she will damage them with her Enigma Thrust
Only one opponent can bear the Shadowsign at any time. If the opponent gets too far from Lynette, the Shadowsign gets canceled and will disappear.
Lynette's elemental burst, Magic Trick: Astonishing Shift, is a combination of Amber's Baron Bunny and Sucrose's Forbidden Creation - Isomer 75 / Type II. It attracts and taunts nearby opponents and deals Anemo damage as they approach.
If Lynette's elemental burst comes into contact with another elemental aside from Geo, it will add swirl damage and fire Vivid Shots that deal damage from that element at intervals.
Lynette Character, Talent Ascension Materials
Players who wish to get and use Lynette on their adventures across Teyvat must earn as many Vayuda Turquoise pieces and there other Fontaine-exclusive materials to ascend her.
Two of these Fontaine-exclusive materials are the Lumidouce Bell and Meshing Gear. While HoYoverse has yet to reveal the third material players need to ascend her, Gamerant revealed in its report that the missing item is a Novel Spare Clockwork Component.
A Novel Spare Clockwork Component is only obtainable when players defeat the "Icewind Suite" dancing clockwork meka duo.
For her talent level-up materials, Lynette will need Meshing Gear, Everamber, and Philosophies of Order to improve Lynette's attacks, elemental skill, and elemental burst.
