Genshin Impact fans can soon know more about how HoYoverse designed Fontaine.
HoYoverse recently announced it is launching Genshin Impact's official global art exhibition soon, giving fans an in-depth look at HoYoverse's design process for the Nation of Justice, Fontaine.
Fontaine became available for players to explore and enjoy on Aug. 16 with the release of Genshin Impact's 4.0 update.
Designing A Nation Of Water & Justice
Genshin Impact's 4.0 update brought players to the City of Justice, Fontaine, to explore and immerse themselves in. Ruled by Hydro Archon and the God of Justice, Focalors, players will recognize how HoYoverse themed the architectural design for the city of Fontaine and the homes in the region based on symmetrical order and the element of water.
To better explain how HoYoverse created the region of Fontaine, the company revealed it is hosting Genshin Impact's official global art exhibition, "Endless Adventure in Teyvat: Fontaine Edition," in various cities worldwide. According to the company, the exhibition not only celebrates the release of Genshin Impact's 4.0 update but also reveals how Fontaine came to be the region it is in-game.
The exhibition features over 60 concept sketches that give Genshin Impact fans a behind-the-scenes look at the philosophies and creation process behind Fontaine's many aspects. These aspects range from the region's environment and landscapes to architecture, creatures, and characters.
It will also display more than 30 concept art illustrations that further demonstrate how HoYoverse's artists combined the elements of water, gears, and clockwork with the Baroque and different styles to create Fontaine's buildings. These illustrations would also show how they drew inspiration from European mountains and nature to create a "diverse and fantastical underwater area."
Fan Service Galore
Interestingly, musically-inclined Genshin Impact fans will also get to see the complete scores for Fontaine's main theme and battle music during the exhibition. Furthermore, HoYoverse will showcase giant life-size models and miniatures to showcase the region of Fontaine at scale.
With Genshin Impact becoming popular worldwide, HoYoverse has been receiving tons of fan art from the game's community. To showcase these, the company decided to present derivative work and fan art from over 40 artists and content creators.
These artists include illustrator and graphic artist Solène Debiès, Sumi-e artist Yu-Ki Nishimoto, artist Yuzhi Zhou, and contemporary painter Maxence Ma.
Genshin Impact fans attending the exhibition in person can get a chance to score various merchandise. These range from posters, File Folders, and metal badges to chibi acrylic hangables, hangable keychains, and even Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet character stands.
