Slack confirmed that the company is releasing Slack AI that will summarize threads, recap channels, and search for answers within messages.

All About Slack AI
Starting this winter, Slack will be piloting its new built-in AI tool that aims to accelerate productivity within teams by using its features. The company also acknowledged how AI and automation tools will make individuals and companies more efficient.
The new feature will be used for channel recaps, thread summaries, and answer searching. Channel recaps will give users a generated highlight on any channel cutting the time on making informed and customer-centric decisions. Likewise, thread summaries will help users catch up on any conversation real quick. Lastly, search answers will let users get a clear and concise answers based on messages.
"Slack makes this possible by connecting teams, customers, partners, apps, data and systems in one intelligent productivity platform," Slack wrote on a blog post.
Slack Upgrades This Winter
Interested users are encouraged to sign up for the waitlist. The Slack AI will start its pilot program on winter along with Slack lists.
Slack lists will be a new way to track work and seamlessly integrate work management flow for collaboration projects in Slack. The Slack list will also notify team members on updates for ongoing projects making it more seamless and efficient to track the team's progress.
"Slack continues to evolve with new, more intelligent tools and ways of working that drive alignment, streamline efficiency, and boost productivity for teams across the business," VP of social, communities, and collaboration, IDC, Wayner Kurtzman stated.
