Hulu is bringing back its services at a more affordable price for students with only a $1.99 per month student discount under the ad-supported tier plan.
Hulu's Student Discount
Hulu's ad-supported tier plan costs $7.99 a month, the student discount will give students an opportunity to get the same service for a quarter of its original price. According to Hulu, the offer will apply to new customers while existing subscribers can avail of it if their current plan is billed directly under Hulu.
The company only allows students who are currently enrolled in graduate or advanced degree programs at Title IV accredited colleges and universities in the U.S. Students can keep their bill low as long as their enrollment status is verified by SheerID.
However, Hulu noted that the discount is available only for a standalone subscription to Hulu with Ads plan. Eligible users are not allowed to combine the discount with a discounted plan from the Disney bundle.
Hulu's Subscription Plans
Currently, Hulu offers a variety of subscription plans that its customers can choose from. Subscribers are also allowed to switch plans and purchase add-ons at any time. The standard Hulu with no ads comes at $17.99 per month.
Meanwhile, Hulu+ Live TV plans feature subscriptions to Hulu, Live TV, Disney+, and ESPN+. The bundle starts at $76.99 per month for ad-supported while the no ads plan is at $89.99 per month. However, this bundle is not available for subscribers who are billed by T-Mobile.
Hulu also offers ad-ons that can cost from $2 per month up to $15.99 per month depending on the platform that will be added to the the current subscription.
