According to Altman, the short halt is intended to ensure a high-quality experience for users and allow OpenAI to scale its operations amidst increasing demands.

During the DevDay conference, the firm said 100 million people use their services weekly, while over 90% of the Ford 500 businesses use developing tools on OpenAI's platform.

The company also introduced new features and upgrades during its first appearance at the developer conference last week, further surging demands on the service.

ChatGPT Plus subscription plan includes access to the latest features like the GPT-4 model, DALL-E 3, and more all at $20 a month.

OpenAI has yet to announce when will the sign-ups resume.

OpenAI and ChatGPT Service Increase in Business Sector

OpenAI's ChatGPT has recorded usage increase across business sectors, recording 49% of the companies worldwide using its services just last month.

Companies have begun using language models to reduce costs in training and hiring customer service staff amid increasing inflation in the country.

Several big tech wigs have even created their versions of ChatGPT in a bid to catch up with the latest improvements in the digital world.

Among the most notable are Google, Amazon, Apple, and Microsoft.

CharGPT Plus Features, Uses, and Benefits

OpenAI launched the subscription-based ChatGPT Plus early this year, a few weeks before the release of GPT 4 and DALL-E 3.

The premium version of ChatGPT allows users to have access to the language model even during peak times.

The subscription also offers faster response time and priority access to the latest features and assessments.

OpenAI is currently in the works to launch a ChatGPT API service for "lower-cost plans, business plans, and data packs availability.
