Several Apple Watches are currently on huge discounts days before the annual Black Friday sales begin.
The 40mm second-generation Apple Watch SE is at a record-low $189 on Amazon online store. Released in 2022, the smartwatch is currently $60 off from the usual $249 price tag.
Another great deal from Amazon is the Apple Watch Series 8 41mm now at $299, 25% off from the original price of $399. The sale is available for the Red and Starlight sports band option.
Target offers a lower price for Watch 8 with 45% off for $224.
Amazon is also selling Watch 8's successor, Watch Series 9, at a $70 discount.
The 41mm GPS Apple Watch Series 9 can now be bought for $329, while its 45mm version is available at $359. This was much lower than the $379 sale in Walmart.
Is Apple Watch SE Worth it?
Not only being one of Apple's budget-friendly options, the Apple Watch SE can perform at the same level as the more expensive Apple Watch 8.
Despite the noticeable lack of Always on Display or skin temperature sensor, the Watch SE excels in workout tracking and only has a low difference in battery life compared to its premium counterparts.
The smartwatch features a two-day battery runtime and Apple's tough Ion-X glass screen protector.
It has the same tried-and-tested signature Apple design of a rounded square face and only weighs 26.4 grams, light and comfortable to wear while doing workouts.
Apple Watch SE is available in Midnight, Starlight, or silver colors at 40mm, 44mm, and 44mm versions.
Apple Watch Series 8 vs Apple Watch Series 9
With only a close time difference between the two, the Apple Watch Series 9 is considered a very minor upgrade from the previous installment.
Watch 9 has 2,000 brightness nits of retina display compared to Watch 8's 1,000. The Watch 9 also runs twice as fast as the Watch 8 with its 4-core Neural Engine and a S9 chip.
Watch 8 only has an S8 chip and a single Neural Engine.
The most notable difference between the two are Watch 9 features that integrate HomePod into the smartwatch and a Double Tap feature to do multiple actions easily.
Otherwise, both devices run and feel the same for regular users.
