The new map will feature boss battles with its inhabitants for better rewards.
This is not to discount all the small cities and buildings filled with more loot. And speaking of loots, Chapter 5 introduces the Ballistic Shield that lets players "defend yourself with the shield while shooting the pistol at the same time."
New additions to the weapons list include the following:
- Hammer Pump Shotgun
- Nemesis AR
- Frenzy Auto Shotgun
- Thunder Burst SMG
- Striker AR
- Hyper SMG
- Reaper Sniper Rifle
- Ranger Pistol
- Grapple Blade
- Cluster Clinger
The Chapter 5 update will also debut a lot of player skins from popular franchises. Among the mentioned were Solid Snake from Metal Gear franchise and Peter Griffin of "Family Guy."
The biggest reveal, however, goes to the announcement of a new game mode in collaboration with Lego. The Lego Fortnite will be a free survival-crafting mode separate from battle royale and Fortnite Creative.
Along with Lego Fortnite, Fortnite will also add the Mario Kart-esque Rocket Racing mode and the Fortnite Festival concert in collaboration with The Weeknd.
Fortnite Returns to the Gaming Highlight
Recent updates have prompted the 2017 game to jump back into wide recognition, especially with the return of the OG Map from Season 1.
With better mechanics and a more open community, both OG and newbie players are being hooked back to the game.
The game's collaboration with big brands has also pushed Fortnite into more people, potentially encouraging them to try the game as well.
