Bad Bunny Shares Hatred Towards Viral AI Hits

Last month, the famous rapper's voice became viral after Chilean artist Maurico Bustos introduced the trend NostalgIA. He wrote and modified Bad Bunny's vocals which resulted in a viral track that is now used on several parodies on TikTok.

Bad Bunny then posted a WhatsApp update asking his followers to leave if they liked the viral song on TikTok. " I don't want you on tour either," he added.

Meanwhile, Bustos also known as FlowGPT, shared that he was a fan of the rapper and that the success of his AI-produced songs is partly due to the artists' skills.

According to a consultant on AI issues, it will be difficult to put restrictions or punishments on these issues as generative AI is fairly new.

"FlowGPT isn't worried because even though Bad Bunny got angry because his voice tone was used, he knows there is a legal void and so he cannot be sued," Claudia Gutierrez explained.

Bad Bunny Gets Dethroned by Taylor Swift on Spotify Wrapped

Over the past three years, Bad Bunny was the top-streamed artist on Spotify. According to the company's global head of editorial Sulinna Ong, Swift's stream count was far ahead of the rapper.

"Bad Bunny has had an enormous year and is still very much leading the cultural conversation," Ong shared in an interview. Meanwhile, she also explained that the dominance of female artists in cultural conversation became much more evident in 2023.

The rest of the top five most-streamed artists for 2023 include Drake, Morgan Wallen, The Weekend, and Bad Bunny.
