Peacock's First Exclusive NFL Game Stream Records Near 10 Million Viewers

Peacock TV successfully recorded an astounding nearly 10 million viewership with its first exclusive NFL holiday game this weekend.

The match between the Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Chargers raked up to 9.9 million viewers at its peak, NBC Sports reported.

Averaging 8.3 million viewers, the game had primetime's largest audience last Saturday and placed within NBC and Peacock's top 10 most-viewed NFL streams this season.

Peacock reached a record-high 26.1 million viewer average during the Sunday Night Football match between the Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers won at an astounding 42-10 score.

Peacock thanked its "innovative commercial-free fourth quarter" for the success of the exclusive NFL stream.

After recovering from a major setback in the second quarter, the Buffalo Bills secured their ninth victory with a 24 - 22 win against the Chargers.

The early Christmas present was sealed in thanks to placekicker Tyler Bass hitting a 29-yard field goal under the last 30 seconds remaining.

Despite key mistakes in the early parts of the game, safety Taylor Rapp held back the Chargers, led by linebacker Tuli Tuipulotu with nine total tackles.

The star of the game, however, is Josh Allen, who, after getting his consecutive passing and rushing touchdown, finished with a 237-yard pass.

The Buffalo Bills are set to clash with the New England Patriots on New Year's Eve, while the Chargers aim to secure their spot this season against the formidable Denver Broncos.

NFL exclusive streams have become this year's spotlight as more streaming services try to get special deals with the League to stream a match on their platforms.

The football league has experienced an upsurge since 2015, recording a 7% year-over-year increase in per-game average.

An average of 17.2 million viewership this year with the Super Bowl 57.
