Samsung is bound to launch its AI-centric product lineup at the upcoming Galaxy event on January 17 in San Jose, California. The teaser for the event highlights that AI is coming to the smartphone giant.
Samsung Welcomes the Era of Galaxy AI
Last year, Samsung shared a glimpse of the new era of Galaxy AI that is coming soon. The company promised that Galaxy AI will be the "universal intelligence" that phones have never seen before as it prepares new possibilities for its customers.
"Galaxy AI is a comprehensive mobile AI experience, powered by both on-device AI developed at Samsung and cloud-based AI enabled by our open collaborations with like-minded industry leaders," the company wrote in a blog post.
One of the hints provided is the AI Live Translate Call which will give users a personal translator whenever needed. The audio and text translations will appear in real-time during a private conversation.
Samsung Galaxy AI Dissolves Communication Barriers
The most notable premise of the Galaxy AI is to remove common barriers to communication by providing AI tools that will boost communication. Moreover, the company retained its mission to make the Galaxy secure and private.
"Mobile technology has an incredible power to enable connection, productivity, creativity, and more for people around the world, but until now, we haven't seen mobile AI ignite that in truly meaningful ways," EVP and head of R&D, mobile eXperience business, Wonjoon Choi, explained.
The Samsung Unpacked 2024 will have a live broadcast on January 17. The event is expected to unveil the much-awaited Galaxy S24 lineup and other product upgrades.
