The new season for "Arcane" cannot get here soon enough. It did not take long after the release of the first season before people started creating theories. One of the most possible speculations has been confirmed by the trailer, or at least that's what most people believe.
Vander Might Actually Be Warwick
Many fans have a keen eye on easter eggs and details that most audiences would miss, and they have especially been paying attention to "Arcane" since it serves as a prequel to the MOBA game, League of Legends.
One of the strongest and most believable theories from the fanbase states that Vander, the father figure to both Vi and Jinx in the beginning, transforms into Warwick. In case you don't know, Warwick is a werewolf and a playable character in the game it was adapted from.
While it was not said outright, the trailer shows Singed in the middle of a blood transfusion, looking seemingly worse than he did before. Then, the view shifts to him with his back turned, looking over what seems like a monster suspended on the ceiling.
The teaser trailer may just be 44 seconds long, but it's enough to stir fans up. After all, there are already many supporting tidbits within the first season that further support the idea that Vander is in fact, Warwick from LoL.
For one, he was already called "the Hounds of the Underworld," which was foreshadowing what his future would be. Fans also mentioned that by using Shimmer, Singed could save Vander just like he did with Jinx when she was an inch away from death.
Seeing Singed in the trailer along with a beast-like creature, the theory suddenly holds more weight. As you know, Vander also grew in mass when he ingested Shimmer, showing the kind of monstrosity he can be.
We'll leave it to the writers to decide what kind of twist will be waiting for us in season 2. If not better, followers of the show are expecting the second season to be as good as the first. Knowing how successful it was, it might be a little hard to match the hype.
What to Expect for Season 2?
Riot Games has been pretty tight-lipped when it comes to the details of the second season. One thing for sure is that we will be seeing three of our favorites: Vi, jinx, and Caitlyn. The voice actors behind the characters have already said that they are returning.
That means that we might be seeing utter shock from Vi and even Jinx once they discover that not only is Vander alive, but he has become an experiment for Singed, turning him into an unrecognizable beast.
Of course, the ending was one big cliffhanger, so it would be nice to know whether or not the council survived Jinx's rocket. We already know that Jayce will survive it since he's a playable character and "Arcane" is officially canon. As for Mel and the others, we'll neve know until November 2024.
