Elden Ring Fans Anticipate First Major Update of the Year in February

Fans of FromSoftware's Elden Ring are looking forward to the year's first update as several leaks have pointed out that the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC could be released in February.

While it may seem unrealistic given that FromSoftware has yet to release any indication of the DLC, fans are still confident that an update may be released to celebrate the game's second anniversary.

Elden Ring to Mark Second Anniversary

Over the past months, the developers of the game have been lauded by fans due to their dedication to improving the game post-launch. Since then, multiple minor updates have been released to address bugs, implement fan feedback, and even add new content.

Previously, FromSoftware debuted new NPCs, quests, and PvP modes in the game to improve the gameplay. The most recent update of the game dealt with the Easy Anti-Cheat system. Online players must download the updated version of the system.

Elder Ring made its first debut on Steam last February 25, 2022. As it's second anniversary closes in, fans are expecting some big surprises to unfold.

Elden Ring Shadow of Erdtree DLC Release

As of writing, there is still no indication or any information from the developers about the upcoming DLC. However, previous hints revealed that the expansion would be massive and would feature new battles and characters.

During The Game Awards, some fans were hoping to get a glimpse of the DLC. However, FromSoftware did not reveal anything from the expansion, worrying fans that it could be an indication that the development is still far from launching.

However, some keen-eyed fans are still actively looking for clues that would prove that the DLC will be released during the Elden Ring anniversary. A product page was previously seen with a description of "sync with the new Shadow of Erdtree expansion release - Elden Ring Anniversary" along with a date tracing to February 2024.

For now, fans would have to continue playing the game as it is while they wait for any announcement for the game's future.
