Square Enix Drops Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Trailer, Updates Ahead of February Release

Square Enix revealed a new teaser for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and announced several updates for the game before it officially launches on PlayStation on February 29.

The game will have digital and physical versions with the latter part having two discs and a reversible cover. Pre-order customers will also receive the Midgar bangle accessory or the Moogle Trio Summoning Material.

Square Enix Introduces New Regions, Characters for Rebirth

Along with the teaser, Square Enix revealed two regions that will be featured in the game such as the Starboard Junon and Shinra-8.

The Starboard Junon is an urban residential zone and is currently prepping for Rufus Shinra's presidential inauguration parade. Meanwhile, the Shinra-8 is a cruise ship that will be used to travel on the eastern and western continents.

As for the characters, Rebirth welcomes Cait Sith and Moogle who will come as a pack. Moggle provides mobility and support while Cait's speciality is on hacking computers and fortune-telling.

Human characters such as Elena and Captain Titov were also introduced. Their story will unfold as the game progresses.

The combat abilities of Yuffie and Cait Sith were also revealed. For her basic attacks, Yuffie is skilled in throwing stars and switching elemental affinity. She is also capable of using a ninjutsu spell.

On the other hand, Cait can fight with and without his pal Moogle. He is focused on darting on the battlefield with the help of his acrobatic skills. However, having Moogle during battle can enhance his chances of winning.

The Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be available in various editions. Customers can choose from the Standard Edition, Deluxe Editions, Collector's Edition, and Twin Packs.
