LinkedIn rolled out a new tab called the "Catch Up" feature under the redesigned My Network section, which creates a highlight from your connections.
The feature allows users to see milestones like job openings, promotions, work anniversaries, and more. Users can either like the posts or start a private conversation using the auto-generated prompt.

LinkedIn Experiments With Features to Connect Network
Aside from "Catch Up", LinkedIn also launched the "Grow" tab which uses AI algorithms to help users find contacts that they might be interested in connecting with. Moreover, it is also used to manage connections.
According to reports, LinkedIn is strengthening its service by integrating AI-powered features. The company hopes that these tools will make job market navigation easier and more efficient.
However, during its beta launch, some LinkedIn users complained on Reddit that the new features were annoying and spamming their notification tab. Most of the complaints were from iPhone users detailing that aside from spamming, the feature cannot be turned off.
LinkedIn Invests With AI Tools
Last year, the employment-focused social media platform rolled out its AI-assistant writing features. This involved guidance for profile building, ads, conversation starters for collaboration, and recruitment.
LinkedIn has also been opened in sharing that the company has been busy developing several AI-based features across its product portfolio. Although the company has been using AI for years, some of these were not as visible to the users compared to today.
"In one way or another, AI powers everything at LinkedIn," former lead AI engineer Deepak Agarwal stated in 2018.
Recent trends have shown that majority of the U.S. employees are looking forward to switching their jobs, hence, there is a need for the company to enhance its services.
