Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi is now a firm believer in the "Taylor Swift Effect" after witnessing it take place in real-time.
In an interview during CNBC's "Squawk Box," Khosrowshahi said he has seen how the mere presence of the pop singer in the city boosts the company's operations exponentially.
The Uber CEO cited Swift's recent concert, the "Eras Tour," where the demands for food and transportation services surged as more people moved to the concert venue.
Uber now plans to adjust operations in preparation for towns where Swift is confirmed to visit. Swift's "Eras Tour" is set to officially finish on Dec. 8, in Vancouver, Canada.
Khosrowshahi, however, clarified that Swift's impact on the company in the long run may not be "enough to show in the overall trends."
More Businesses Testify on Taylor Swift Effect
Uber is not the only one that has openly pointed out how Swift and her concert tour have exploded profits and customer demands on their businesses.
Many local businesses have already testified how their operations could not keep up with how many customers were coming when reports of the American singer in there were made.
The Bank of America has earlier pointed out how Swift's tours generate about the same revenue as the Super Bowl, one of the highest earners in terms of live events in the US.
Even sales of Kansas City Chiefs Travis Kelce, Swift's current boyfriend, noted a 400% sales spike for his jersey. All of the Chiefs' games where Swift appears record all-time-high views.
Taylor Swift Influences American Culture
Several articles have already noted how Swift, with her massive audience, has influenced the social and political perceptions of many Americans.
A prime example was the increase in voter registration after Swift endorsed a nonpartisan ballot application Voter.org on one of her Instagram posts where she currently has 280 million followers.
Soon after Swift's post, the site recorded 35,000 registrations.
In the same manner, many people criticized Swift for not using her massive platform to influence people about current political conflicts in the world despite actively engaging with social issues since 2018.
Swift has previously commented on the overturning of the 1973 Roe v. Wade case, or the precedent legalizing abortion in the US, which boosted support to reject the Supreme Court's decision.
