The popular VR game, Job Simulator, is making its debut soon on the Apple Vision Pro, allowing users to imitate real-world jobs in a virtual setting.
The game has already been a success on other VR platforms like Meta Quest and PlayStation VR.
Job Simulator on Apple Vision Pro
The Unity website confirmed that Job Simulator and Vacation Simulator are both coming to Vision Pro. The company will be hosting a visionOS roundtable discussion this month which will tackle how Owlchemey Labs worked on the two titles.
"Learn how cross-industry experts used Unity's visionOS Support to create games, apps, and spatial experiences for Apple Vision Pro," the sign-up page read. In addition, attendees will get a chance to see the behind-the-scenes from the development stage up to the launch of the games.
The Job Simulator will be available to play soon for $19.99 while Vacation Simulator will be priced at $29.99 for Vision Pro users.
Job Simulator, Vacation Simulator Breaks Gaming Barriers
In 2016, Owlchemy Labs released Job Simulator, and three years after that it was followed by Vacation Simulator. In 2020, the studio finally succeeded in launching controller-free hand-tracking support on Quest for Vacation Simulator.
"How do you get a billion people to play VR? The controllers are a barrier. They are built like video game controllers," CEO Andrew Eiche shared last year when the company demoed its latest hand-tracking technology.
As of writing, there it is likely that Vision Pro will support hand tracking for playing the games but it hasn't been confirmed yet.
Currently, there are only a couple of gaming titles available for Vision Pro like Super Fruit Ninja. For now, headset users can run iPad games but they will only run in a 2D window.
