Samsung announced that A55 5G will not be debuting in the U.S. and instead encouraged customers to take advantage of the Galaxy S23 and S23 FE devices.
Regardless, the recently launched Galaxy A35 5G will be coming to the U.S. market, with more details to come in the following weeks.
Samsung Galaxy A55 5G Skips U.S. Release
Earlier this week, Samsung welcomed two mid-range Android phones called Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35. These devices are scheduled to be released in global markets within the coming months.
The Galaxy A55 is equipped with a 50MP primary camera with a 12MP ultrawide, 5MP macro camera, and a 32MP front-facing camera. It is also designed with 6.6-inch FHD+ SuperAMOLED displays at 120Hz and is powered by Android 14.
Despite its impressive refresh specs, Samsung announced that the Galaxy A55 5G will not be available for U.S. customers. "While we will not be carrying Galaxy A55 5G at this time, consumers can still take advantage of our Galaxy innovation at great value with Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 FE," the company shared.
Samsung Galaxy A35 Joins U.S. Market
On the other hand, the Galaxy A35 5G will be available in the U.S. market in the coming weeks. The device also comes in 6.6-inch FHD+ SuperAMOLED displays at 120Hz and Android 14.
However, the camera system is expected to be lower compared to the A55 variant. The Galaxy A35 has a 50MP primary camera, 8MP ultrawide, 5MP macro camera, and a 13MP front-facing camera.
In addition, both devices will get extensive security features like Knox Vault, which is offered for the first time to the A series. This feature will give protection and real-time threat detection for the devices.
"With the Galaxy A series, we are expanding our latest technologies to a wider audience so that more people can benefit from them," said TM Roh, president and head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung.
