Corn Kidz 64 Preps for Switch Debut
Corn Kidz 64 is a 3D platformer that is heavily inspired by the Nintendo 64 era. Players will take the role of the one-horned goat named Seve.
The game initially made its release on Steam under BogoSoft. The game, which launched only five months ago, received a generally positive response from gamers.
"The unauthorized, kid-friendly version of the classic Stephen King thriller (or maybe not, maybe it's just a game about one-horned goatbabies)," the game description wrote.
Despite debuting first on Steam, the game does not have keyboard support. Gamers can enjoy Corn Kidz 64 through their Xbox, Steam Deck, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
Nintendo 64 Continues to Inspire Devs
The 3D indie platform is now slated for its Switch debut next month and is expected to pay homage to some of Nintendo 64 classic games like Super Mario 64, Banjo-Kazooie, and Gex: Enter the Gecko.
Some indie developers have been open to being inspired by these classics, bringing a new wave of 3D platforming games like Cavern of Dreams and Celeste 64: Fragments of the Mountain
The Corn Kidz 64 promises four to eight hours of gameplay that is equipped with enemies, NPCs, boss battles, and more. The classic squash and stretch animation from older games are also recreated for the game.
