Apple Vision Pro Spatial Persona Receives Slick New Update

Apple Vision Pro owners are in for a surprise with the latest update with the Spatial Persona feature receiving a slick new upgrade.

The tech giant announced that it will be rolling out a new beta support feature on the Personas this Tuesday much clearer 3D captures and expanded availability.

Users will also be able to control and reposition virtual displays as opposed to previous updates with the displays anchored to a single position and jitter when the user moved.

Spatial Persona was previously limited to video-enabled FaceTime and Zoom calls with 3D capture models just showing blurry features of a person and allowing more users to join Spatial sessions.

The beta feature is currently available on visionOS 1.1 and will possibly be accessible to all Vision Pro devices in later updates.

The new features were first reported by 9to5Mac.

Apple Vision Pro Expands Application to Professional Field

Since its official release last February, Apple has been rolling out features for the Vision Pro in seemingly a way to attract professionals rather than just its usual loyal hobbyists.

Apple has constantly been improving its communication features and app supports for the headset as it pushes the Vision Pro as a collaborative tool for remote and hybrid work environments.

Several health experts have also been earlier reported venturing into the Vision Pro for medical applications.

This is in addition to its supposed benefits in augmented reality-powered industrial operations many VR and AR headset companies have been touting in the past.

As of writing, such features remain more on hypothetical outlooks as access to the headset is limited by its high price tag.

Apple Invests into Vision Pro to Compete Vs Meta's Quest VR

With the application of its VR headset just starting to get realized, Apple is expected to expand the features on the device in its following updates as it competes with Meta's Quest headset.

So far, Quest 3 tops Vision Pro in terms of sales thanks to an earlier release date and a much lower price.

No reports indicate that Apple is looking to lower the price of the Vision Pro anytime soon, nor prospects of rolling out something that will go toe to toe with Meta's future VR projects.
