Baldur's Gate 3 and Alan Wake 2 might be the biggest winners of tonight's 2024 BAFTA Game Awards, taking home recognitions across multiple categories.
Larian Studios' Baldur's Gate 3 won five awards during the ceremony, most notably in Best Game, Music, Narrative, and EE Players' Choice categories.
Voice actor Andrew Wincott also bagged the award for the best "Performer in a Supporting Role" for his part as the enigmatic Raphael.
On the other hand, Remedy Entertainment nabbed the win for Artistic Achievement and Audio Achievement for Alan Wake 2.
The two games triumphed over other top contenders like Legend of Zelda: Tears of Kingdom, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
'Baldur's Gate 3,' 'Alan Wake 2' Continues Win Streak from Game of the Year Awards
The awards are an addition to both games' earlier recognitions during the 2023 Game of the Year Awards, where Baldur's Gate 3 won the titular award.
Baldur's Gate 3 was Larian Studios' and Wizards of the Coast's most successful title in recent years, bagging over $90 million in sales since it fully launched in August of last year.
Alan Wake 2 was no slouch either, recording 1.3 million sales since October 2023 to become Remedy Entertainment's fastest-selling title.
Other Notable BAFTA Game Awards Winners
Aside from Baldur's Gate 3 and Alan Wake 2, other notable titles from both big and small game developers also received their much-deserved recognitions during the British game awards.
The sleeper hit Hi-Fi Rush took home the award for best Animation, while CD Project Red redeemed itself in the Evolving Game category for its improvements on Cyberpunk 2077.
Indie studio Mintrocket also won against bigger franchises like Spider-Man and Zelda for the Game Design category for Dave the Diver.
Of course, a game award is not complete without Nintendo grabbing a few wins. This time, it was with Super Mario Bros. Wonder in the Family and Multiplayer divisions.
Legend of Zelda: Tears of Kingdom also marked its victory against other AAA games like Bethesda's Starfield and Square Enix's Final Fantasy XVI for Technical Achievement.
