Sonos to Launch Its First Wireless Headphones

Previous reports showed that Sonos plans to launch several devices in June. One of the much-awaited releases is the company's first-ever pair of wireless headphones.

Sonos CEO Patrick Spence shared that he sees this new product category as a profit-generator for the company amid the slowing demand for its speakers. The headphones are expected to be announced and to ship next time.

Based on the leak, the Sonos Ace headphones revealed buttons on the side of both ear cups. There is also a toggle switch. The headphones come in a sleek black color, including the embedded logo.

The Schuurman website showed its price in Euro but after conversion, the device is expected to be sold around $430 or more.

Sonos Reveals Ace Name for Headphones

A Sonos subreddit managed to discover an early mention of the "Ace" headphones on the company's own website. The search bar message showed the upcoming pre-order of an unannounced product.

Previously, Bloomberg reported that Sonos filed the wireless headphones under the "Duke" codename during its development period. The new leaked images also revealed that the ear cushion is replaceable while the package is expected to include a headphone cable and USB-C cable.

The Sonos Ace headphones are expected to offer a seamless integration into its existing home audio system. Owners of the Sonos soundbar could potentially listen to their TV audio using their wireless headphones.

Sonos will be releasing its revamped mobile app on May 7 along with other improvements to streamline the flow for its portable devices.
