Apple launched its next-generation iPad Pro powered by the new M4 chip which promises a huge leap in terms of performance.
The iPad Pro comes in 13-inch and 11-inch models, along with the Apple Pencil Pro and thinner Magic Keyboard.
Apple Introduces Latest M4 Chip Through iPad Pro
In a blog post, Apple revealed that the new iPad Pro is their thinnest product in the market. The 13-inch model comes in 5.1 mm while the 11-inch model is only 5.3 mm thin. Both sizes are available in silver and space black which are enclosed in 100% recycled aluminum.
Tim Millet, VP for Platform Architecture, explained that the M4 chip comes from the second-generation three-nanometer technology that provides more efficiency. As predicted, the iPad Pro comes with a Tandem OLED display to accurately present the Ultra Retina XDR display.
In addition, the new iPad Pro comes with a 10-core GPU, a higher unified memory bandwidth, and pro rendering apps. The M4 chip also performs four times faster than the M2 chip.
Apple Debuts AI, Pencil Pro, Magic Keyboard
Apple has now started to introduce its early AI developments through its new product. The iPad Pro comes with the most powerful Neural Engine that makes AI-enabled tasks faster.
The company also released the Apple Pencil Pro which features a new sensor that can sense squeeze. The custom haptic engine will help users switch tools without any interruption. The device also now supports Find My, in case the Pencil gets misplaced.
As for the Magic Keyboard, the next-generation accessory promised a thinner and lighter version. It also now has a function row and a more responsible trackpad. The smart keyboard can immediately connect even without Bluetooth.
The iPad Pro, Apple Pencil Pro, and Magic Keyboard are now accepting pre-orders and will be available in stores starting May 15.
The 11-inch model will start at $999 while the 13-inch model will start at $1,299. The Apple Pencil Pro costs $129 while the Magic Keyboard retails at $299 and $349.
