Samsung Wins Customers With 5G, Wide Price Range

Samsung started releasing its 5G devices in 2019 while Apple took a couple more years before introducing it to iPhones. Since then, 5G has been gradually earning popularity among Americans with mobile carriers promoting the new coverage as well.

According to the study, Americans appreciate Samsung's cheaper 5G options on their smartphones. The wide price spectrum of Samsung devices allowed more customers to achieve 5G without breaking their wallets.

In addition, users also lauded Samsung's superior screen quality. The user-friendly One UI skin of the company was also praised by consumers due to its easy navigation. Samsung outscored Apple by one point, 83-82 points.

Samsung, Apple Continues Tight Smartphone Rivalry

Earlier this year, Apple overtook Samsung's market share in 2023. The Silicon Valley giant shipped 232 million iPhones in 2023 while Samsung started this year with 60.1 million shipments.

Regardless, the study revealed that both companies are tied for overall customer satisfaction with 82 points. However, Apple only saw a 1% increase in its satisfaction rate compared to Samsung's 3% increase from last year.

Apple is expected to release its first move on AI as the company teases its current development for the new technology. On the contrary, Samsung released its recent AI offerings through the Galaxy S24 series last January 31.

Both companies are racing to give the best value for their customers while battling for the next big thing using AI-powered tools.
