Sonos released a teaser for its "most requested product ever" that is coming on May 21, after months of speculations about the company's next device.
Earlier this month, a leaked product image revealed the company's first wireless headphones, called Sonos Ace.
Sonos to Reveal Ace Wireless Headphones Before June
Sonos has been quiet about its upcoming device with rumors speculating that a wireless product is expected to launch in June. However, its recent announcement of its "most requested product ever" will be released a few weeks ahead of the prediction.
The company has been teasing its next-generation devices, often referring to it as the profit generator for the upcoming years. After years of investing in speakers, the Sonos Ace marks the company's first venture into wireless headphones.
The leaked image of the Ace headphones revealed a couple of buttons on each side of the ear cups, along with a toggle switch. The device will come in sleek black with an embedded Sonos logo.
Sonos Users Continue Criticism Over Redesigned App Amid Product Announcement
Sonos relaunched its mobile and web app for its users earlier this month. The app quickly gained negative feedback from its users and is still heavily criticized amid the new product launch.
The company shared the new product teaser on Instagram. However, the post is currently flooded with comments about the app. The majority of the users shared that they are requesting a "functioning" and "better" app instead of a new product.
Sonos previously explained that the customizable home feed of the new app is the most optimal solution for all user concerns. The company also emphasized that the app is still not finished and more developments will be introduced in the coming months.
