'Black Hawk Dawn'
"Black Hawk Dawn" is a 2001 film based on the book by Mark Bowden. The story follows the events of the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu. The film centered on the attempts of the U.S. Army Rangers and Delta Force soldiers to capture top-ranking Somali warlords.
The story was lauded for its portrayal of the unpredictable nature of military missions, urban warfare, and the dangers constantly faced by soldiers in the field. The film also surprised its audience with its realistic narrative and cinematography.

'Midway'

'13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi'
"13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi" is a 2016 film based on the book of Mitchell Zuckoff. The film is the dramatization of the 2012 Benghazi attack wherein Islamic militants attacked the American diplomatic compound.
The story centers on how a team of six CIA security contractors fought their way out, despite being heavily outnumbered. The team struggled to defend the American outposts but managed to rescue the survivors within a 13-hour mission.
"13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi" can be streamed on Hulu.
'The Finest Hours'
"The Finest Hours" is an adaptation of the book by Michael J. Tougias and Casey Sherman. The film recounts the events of one of the most successful sea rescues in the U.S. Coast Guard history in 1952.
The story portrayed the efforts of the Coast Guard to rescue the crew of SS Pendleton, a T-2 oil tanker, that was split in half during a violent storm. The film was applauded for its depiction of how sea rescues happen and how challenging it is.
