It has been two long years since the last season of "The Umbrella Academy" was launched, and the ending left us with more questions than answers. We have been waiting for news about when the next season will be, and it's finally here.

'The Umbrella Academy' Season 4

The siblings, namely Five, Klaus, Luther, Diego, Allison, Ben, and Viktor, will be returning for the fourth and final season of the sci-fi show, and to make things better, all of them will take on a mission together like old times.

It has been a two-year wait since the last season, and the show will finally arrive on screens this August 8th. There is one downside aside from it being the last season of the show. As opposed to the usual 10 episodes, season four will only have six.

Netflix detailed what to expect stating that the Hargreaves siblings have been scattered after the shutdown of Hotel Oblivion and their timelines were reset. They no longer have their powers this time around, and they will have to go through whatever it is they have to without them.

As shown in the last season, Reginald Hargreeves is alive, and has "stepped out of the shadows and into the public eye, overseeing a powerful and nefarious business empire." The show will also place focus on another antagonist group, as per Gizmodo.

Called The Keepers, they are a "mysterious association" that holds clandestine meetings while believing that the reality they are living in is a lie and that a great reckoning is coming. They will be among the "strange new forces" conspiring against the Umbrella Academy.

It definitely will make for an entertaining show. The trailer already shows us that the siblings, now including Lila in the group, will be traveling in a beaten-up van. Ben looking like he went through hell in the back and Klaus breathing into a paper bag in the front, fans can already expect good things.

It will be a short while before the show is released in a little over two months, but until then, you can binge the previous seasons to recap what has happened. After all, the show does come with twists and turns, and two years can make you forget a few key scenes.

Another Show Getting a New Season in 2024

Speaking of waiting for years, it has been a while since "Arcane" was released, specifically in November 2021. Fortunately, we won't be having to wait much longer as the second season is set to be released this year in November as well.

Fans are eager to see more of Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn, and the others, especially with how things ended in the last season. With Kinx's character now fully realized as she gets her purple eyes, we can only expect more unhinged behavior from the character.

Even the players of the game it was based on, League of Legends, already have a couple of theories in mind based on the lore, the gameplay, and the in-game dialogue they encounter, some of which are somewhat confirmed in the show's latest teaser.
