OpenAI Offers ChatGPT Edu for Universities With GPT-4o

In a blog post, OpenAI shared that ChatGPT Edu provides enterprise-level security and controls. Most importantly, the service is available for an affordable price to educational institutions.

According to the company, ChatGPT Edu stemmed from the evident success of various universities that utilize ChatGPT Enterprise. Some successful universities include the University of Oxford, Columbia University in the City of New York, and more.

The ChatGPT Edu offers access to GPT-4o which can handle text interpretation, coding, data analytics, document summarization, and web browsing. In addition, universities can also build custom versions of ChatGPT that will be shared within the university workspace.

The AI giant also clarified that conversations and data within this service will not be used to train OpenAI models.

OpenAI for Nonprofits Provides Access Under Discounted Rate

OpenAI revealed that several nonprofits are already using ChatGPT to boost productivity. The OpenAI for Nonprofits gives access to the ChatGPT Team at a discounted price of $20 per month per user.

Meanwhile, larger nonprofits can avail of a better offer of up to 50% discount on ChatGPT Enterprise. The new service provides access to GPT-4o, advanced tools, and custom GPTs.

The new service is expected to simplify access to international funding, improve client-centered care, and enhance data analysis within the team. OpenAI shared that the company aims to provide more resources to nonprofits in a less expensive way.

Nonprofit organizations are now open to apply for the service while larger nonprofits are advised to connect with OpenAI's sales team.
