AT&T Hikes Price up to $20 per Month for Retired Unlimited Wireless Plan Users

AT&T announced an increased price for customers who are part of the retired unlimited wireless plans by up to $20 per month starting this August.

The telecom company detailed that the plan will add high-speed data, hotspot data, and other benefits as part of the price hike.

AT&T Increases Price Again for Specific Users

On a support page, AT&T shared that it will be increasing the monthly charge on most of its retired unlimited wireless plans. The company cited additional benefits that will come with the increased price to support the new price range.

Plans such as AT&T Unlimited Choice, Choice II, Choice Enhanced, Unlimited & More, and Unlimited Value will now have 75GB of high-speed data and 30GB of hotspot data.

Users of AT&T Unlimited Plus, Plus Enhanced, Unlimited & More Premium, and AT&T Unlimited (with TV) will be receiving 100GB of high-speed data and 60GB of hotspot data.

The existing subscribers of retired unlimited wireless plans will not be required to transition to a new plan. All existing benefits will remain in the plan, along with the additional data.

AT&T Promotes Newer Plans Amid Price Hike to Retire Tiers

On the other hand, customers are still open to exploring the current plan options of the company. For instance, the Unlimited Premium PL offers unlimited calls and text, high-speed data to 19 Latin American countries, 4K UHD streaming, 5G access, and more.

Other plans such as the Unlimited Extra EL and Unlimited Starter both provide 5G access, generous hotspot data, advanced mobile security, and unlimited talk and text.

Users of the retired unlimited wireless plans will start seeing the price change on their August bill. Customers with a single line of service will get a $10 monthly increase while multiple lines will cost an additional $20.
