Dozens of Cybertrucks in Florida were defaced and vandalized last week with insults against Tesla CEO Elon Musk in a move seemingly show of discontent against Musk and his angular EV.
Videos of the graffitied trucks from Fort Lauderdale, Flo. first went viral on Instagram during the weekends after user Only in Dade showed rows of Cybertrucks spray painted with profanities against Musk.
Local TV news outlets estimated that at least 34 Cybertrucks, all of which were parked in the same vacant lot, were affected by the vandal stunt.
The spray paints have already been removed on the same day, although several EV trucks were reported to still retain some black smudges from the vandal.
Authorities have yet to identify the perpetrators behind the vandals as Cybertrucks were parked in an area with no visible security, fences, or walls to keep away outsiders from the lot.
Elon Musk Becomes Open Target for Criticisms Amid Controversies
While the actual intent of the vandal remains unclear, the recent incident seems to reflect people's growing dissatisfaction with Musk and his touted Cybertruck.
Since its first release in November last year, multiple news outlets have already reported various issues and disappointments in contrast to Musk's earlier promises on the over-delayed and overpriced angular behemoth.
This is not to mention the safety issues that have surfaced on the automaker's supposed "full self-driving" system which has already injured and killed several people.
Of course, there are other controversies surrounding Musk over his recent statements on social media, his management on X (formerly Twitter), and reports on the billionaire leaning closer to right-wing conspiracy theories.

Publicity Stunt Could Boost Tesla Cybertruck Sales
If there is one thing for sure about the vandalism, it is sure to get people's attention back on the Cybertruck and possibly even boost its sales in the US.
The Cybertruck is among the company's remaining best-sellers as the car maker reported a sales slowdown in the US over the past months, leading to massive job cuts earlier this year.
Musk has previously been noted to monetize even seemingly negative situations towards the company, such as the crack decals reminiscent of the Cybertruck's first demonstration in 2019.
