Amazon has revealed that this year's Prime Day sale event will happen on July 16 and 17, featuring millions of deals for its members.
The e-commerce giant shared that the event will drop discounts every five minutes during select periods throughout the two-day sale.
Amazon Teases Mega Sale With Prime Day on July
In a press release, Amazon announced that Prime members will get exclusive deals during the Prime Day event on July 16 and 17. Huge discounts on brands like Allbirds, Kiehl's, and more are expected to drop during the event.
The company also revealed that members can request an invitation to exclusive deals that are expected to be sold quickly. Amazon hinted that Sony Wireless Headphones and Peloton products will be included in the invite-only deals.
"Prime Day is a celebration of the value we bring to members all year long, and features millions of deals across more than 35 product categories as well as discounts on Amazon devices, quality entertainment, groceries, travel, and more during the event," said Jamil Ghani, vice president of Amazon Prime.
Amazon Kicks Off Early Deals for Prime Day
Prime members can start their savings early as some brands will be holding early access deals. This includes New Balance, HP, and Coach. Items from influencers and celebrities like Millie Bobby Brown will also offer early access.
A featured personality will drop an exclusive deal on fan-favorite products across top categories from July 8 to 15. Customers can utilize Alexa to track deals from their Wish List to enable a notification once a discount is available.
Amazon also shared that members can request invitations from the product page, allowing them to purchase deals before they get sold out. Selected members will receive a notification, instructing them how to purchase the item through an exclusive deal price.
Amazon Prime membership is available for $14.99 per month or $139 per year with a free 30-day trial.
