Capcom Teases Upgrades for Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster

In a short trailer, Capcom revealed an improved visual for the game to fit the modern consoles' standards. Fans also quickly noticed that voice actor T.J. Rotolo would not be reprising his role as the zombie-slaying photojournalist.

"Hello? Is this thing on? This is Frank! Frank West! Is anyone out there? Grab your camera and prepare for the big scoop on Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster," the studio wrote.

Capcom previously remastered the original Dead Rising for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2016. The HD version was released for fans to honor the franchise's 10th anniversary.

Dead Rising Deluxe to Reclaim Popularity With Remaster

Dead Rising was originally released by Capcom in 2006 as an action-adventure game. The franchise follows the story of the photojournalist Frank West after he was trapped in a zombie shopping mall in Willamette, Colorado.

The Deluxe version is a special edition of the original game that is set in an open-world environment. Players must survive the hoard of zombies by killing them through various weapons and items found in the surroundings.

As of writing, Capcom has yet to release the launch date for the game. Moreover, the specific platforms where the game will be ported are not yet disclosed to the public.

Fans are hoping that the game will port on Xbox once again, considering that it was an original Xbox 360 game that gained popularity during its initial release.
