MLB Network Offers New Direct-to-Consumer Streaming Subscription

Major League Baseball (MLB) announced that fans can now purchase MLB Network as a standalone streaming subscription for $5.99 per month.

The new direct-to-consumer streaming option from MLB Network in the U.S. allows fans to watch the games without connecting to a cable, internet TV, or satellite service.

MLB Network Opens New Streaming Option for Fans

MLB Network launched its new monthly streaming subscription that functions as a standalone service. In addition, a special bundle including the MLB Network + At Bat option is available for $6.99 per month.

The streaming bundle features At Bat live game audio for all 30 MLB teams. It also includes live gameplay for Minor League Baseball and access to MLB Big Inning.

"Going this direction allows us to significantly expand our reach to fans and gives them more choices on how they want to watch the network's Emmy Award-winning coverage," said Bill Morningstar, president of MLB Network.

MLB.TV Gives Access to MLB Network Until End of 2024 Season

MLB.TV is one of the pioneers of sports streaming after launching in 2002. According to MLB, subscribers of MLB.TV's all-teams and single-team packages in the U.S. can access the MLB Network for the rest of the 2024 season.

Meanwhile, the linear MLB Network will continue its service under pay-TV affiliates. Viewers who receive MLB Network from a participating distributor can stream the games from an authenticated channel.

During the live games on MLB Network, subscribers will experience local blackouts and will be replaced with alternate programming.

MLB Network is home to various live games and updates for baseball fans. Some of its popular shows include "MLB Central," "High Heat," "MLB Now," "Off Base," "Intentional Talk," "Quick Pitch," "Big Inning" and "Play Ball."
