Sony announced that an Astro Bot-inspired DualSense controller will be released to celebrate the release of the game on September 6.

The Astro Bot Limited Edition wireless controller features the iconic blue and white colors of the game, along with the sci-fi lines and the trademark eyes on the touchpad.

Sony Launches Astro Bot Wireless Controller for Fans

Team Asobi has been working actively to boost the hype in the upcoming Astro Bot game. The new game will introduce more than 50 planets, new powerups, and secrets.

To commemorate the release of the game, Team Asobi revealed that a wireless controller inspired by the game has been carefully crafted for some time. The limited edition controller boasts the trademark colors and icons of the game.

The Astro Bot DualSense controller will be available on preorder starting August 9. The controller will also be available on select retailers and the official PlayStations website for $79.99. The release will be the same as the launch of Astro Bot on September 6.

Team Asobi Creates Exclusive Astro Bot Gaming Experience

In a blog post, Team Asobi detailed that players would feel the surfaces that Astro runs and slides on using the controller. The developers shared that they increased the number of textures that could be felt through the device.

The adaptive triggers are also improved to complement Astro's new powers. Each power-up offers a new experience that can be felt by players on their fingers.

A Dual Speeder is added to increase the sensation of motion control, haptic feedback, and more. Team Asobi also shared the early concept art for the controller ship and what it looks like in the game.
